1. Early,Angell,Mechanical Pencil Sharpener,Boston
판매자는 $1,000 이상을 생각했던 듯.....This is a very rare mechanical pencil sharpener that is in excellent shape. The Japanning on it is 99%, and it operates flawlessly. Apparently it is missing a shavings cup that slipped on the screw under the intersting round cutters, that could be rotated from A to T until they had to be sharpend. Both cutters are original, and are only on E. the base on this jewel measures 5-3/4" X 3" and it is about 4-3/4" high. 2. 1909,Everett,Mechanical Pencil Sharpener
2. 1909,Everett,Mechanical Pencil Sharpener
This is one of my favorite early sharpeners. It is The Everett Pencil Sharpener that was patented Nov. 16, 1909. It is in its original box, and includes an extra blade. The box measures 4-1/4" X 4-1/2" and is 4-1/4" high. The sharpener is about 4-1/4" high. This is a very scarce sharpener, and the box is even rarer. Unfortunately it is going to cost more than the original asking price of $3.50. Everything is complete it works well, and belongs in a collectors home.3. 1912,Louis Myers,Mechanical Pencil Sharpener
3. 1912,Louis Myers,Mechanical Pencil Sharpener
$400에 팔렸음This is a very scarce and early mechanical pencil sharpener. It has a great metal label on it that is marked " "Louis Myers" Pencil Sharpener, Two Knife - Gravity Feed, Mechanical Products Co., Brooklyn, N.Y., U.S.A., Guaranteed For Three Years, 4 Points Fine - Medium - Course - Crayon, Pat. Nov. 12, 1912" This sharpener is nickle plated, and as you see by the photos, there is some plating missing on the body. I have owned this piece for about five years, and was always going to clean it up, but never got to it. Mechanically it is very sound, and a very well made piece with the original shavings drawer in place. It measures 3-1/2'"X 3-1/2" at base, and is 5" tall
4. ULTRA RARE PENCIL SHARPENER A.B. DICK CO. LATE 1800'S
This is the oldest pencil sharpener I have ever seen, get addition to pencil sharpening collection, this is marked ''PLANETARY PENCIL POINTER A.B DICK COMPANY PAT MAR 17 1896, ALSO PAT IN EGLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, BILGIUM, THIS GRINDS THE PENCIL, THERE WAS NEVER A BLADE, I believe the drawer is missing where the shavngs where caught and top gear. ''The A. B. Dick Planetary Pencil Pointer was patented in 1896 and sold until the mid-1910s. Unlike the Gem and Perfect, which were designed so that the pencil revolved, this antique pencil sharpener held the pencil stationary while two milling disks described what is known as “planetary motion” around the end of the pencil. Like a planet, which revolves about its own axis while it orbits the sun, the cutters on a Planetary revolve about their axes while they orbit the tip of the pencil. The Planetary is 5” tall and weighs 2 lb. 10 oz.''
